Hi. Importment Information about the FIDN website.

I am working on a new look Website for FIDN. This will take some time due to the fact I don`t keep all that great (MS), plus we are now using Dreamweaver and I am learning as I go.

The old site will still be accessible online at www.disability.fidn.co.uk and accessible from links on this site.

Any new information I come accross will be added onto this website and not the www.disability.fidn.co.uk which will eventualy be shut down when all the information on it is incorperated in to this site.

I hope this will not cause you to much Inconvenience.

The Disabled Persons' Parking Places (Scotland) Bill
As most of you will be aware, the Disabled Persons' Parking Places (Scotland) Bill was unanimously passed at Stage 1 on 26 November. This is a significant milestone and the momentum behind the bill is now virtually unstoppable.

I am very grateful for all the support you have given the bill with many of you filling the public gallery during the debate. My attention is now fixed firmly on the amendment stage, followed soon after by the final Stage 3 debate in the chamber. It looks as if this might be on 28 January, but this is still to be confirmed.

Once again, many thanks.

Best wishes
Jackie Baillie

ExxonMobil The Energy Challenge

The Energy Challenge is a partnership between Energy Action Scotland and Community Service Volunteers (CSV) in Scotland and is funded by ExxonMobil. The Challenge aims to provide information and support to householders across Scotland to help them manage their fuel bills, save energy and keep warm in their homes. Members of the CSV's Retired and Senior Volunteer Programme (RSVP) have received energy awareness training from Energy Action Scotland, making them 'Energy Champions'. This leaflet is specially designed to help the volunteers provide information and advice on energy matters to people within the community.
