Post: Outreach and Development Officer
Salary: £21,785 (pro rata 20 hours per week)
Location: Scotland wide remit

We are looking for someone with a proven track record in outreach and development work, especially with disabled people. The candidate needs to be committed, enthusiastic, self-motivated and someone who can use their own initiative. It is important the candidate has a clear understanding of social inclusion issues and is committed to the Social Model of Disability.
The main purpose of the Outreach and Development Officer’s post will be to produce a development handbook. The handbook will assist groups of disabled people to deal more effectively with policy and decision makers. In addition, the post holder will ensure the development and capacity building of groups of disabled people so they are empowered to be comfortable in expressing their views on issues important to them.
