FIFE INDEPENDENT DISABILITY NETWORK TO RECEIVE ANNUAL FUNDING
ROM FMC TECHNOLOGIES

DUNFERMLINE,  Monday 5th May – FMC Technologies, of Pitreavie Business Park, Dunfermline,
is pleased to announce support to local voluntary charity, Fife Independent Disability Network (FIDN).
£3000 will be granted to the charity on an annual basis to help improve the valuable services FIDN
ffer to the community of Fife.

Speaking of the funding agreement, David Currie, Managing Director of FMC Technologies, said: “We are delighted
to be part of this valuable community link and are looking forward to working together with FIDN to help improve
access to many of Fife’s local goods and services.”

FIDN Chair, Michael Tonks said: “The funding from FMC Technologies will enable us to hold additional meetings
throughout the year, and allow the transportation costs of attendees to be subsidised.  Currently, four meetings are
held each year; however, the funding will enable us to increase this number to at least six which will provide vital
up-to-date information to be passed on to more disabled people in the Fife community.”

FIDN was initially formed in 1994 to provide free advice to persons with disabilities in areas such as; home care,
transportation, disability awareness, and access to buildings including schools, hospitals and countryside parks.

Further details of FIDN can be found on their website - www.fidn.org.uk

FMC Technologies internal Accessibility 4 ALL team fore fronted the funding agreement. The team campaigns to
prevent disability discrimination of any form within FMC Technologies while also promoting equal opportunities for
people with physical or mental impairments.
